Discipline

Proverbs 3:11,12 My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline or be weary of his reproof, for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 5:23 He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray.

Proverbs 6:23,24 For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way of life, to preserve you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress.

Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Proverbs 13:2 Whoever spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is diligent to discipline him.

Proverbs 15:10 There is severe discipline for him who forsakes the way; whoever hates reproof will die.

Proverbs 19:18 Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on putting him to death.

Proverbs 22:15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.

Proverbs 23:13 Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die.

Proverbs 29:17 Discipline your son, and he will give you rest; he will give delight to your heart.

Proverbs 29:19 By mere words a servant is not disciplined, for though he understands, he will not respond.

For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11
